31# Scalping with Spike Detector and TMA Band MT5

Scalping with Spike Detector and TMA Band is a scalping strategy whose aim is to capture fast movements at higher time frames, therefore also daily. The entry timing is based on a triple confirmation which gives robustness to the signals. This strategy is therefore provided with two models, one for trading with the Spike detector and one for trading with the TMA bands. It can be used both in trend and against trend (my advice is to specialize in using it in trend first). This strategy could also suit binary options trading.

Strategy setup

Time frame 30 minutes or higher.

Currency pairs: volatile (Gold, Nasdaq, BTCUSD, GBPUSD, GBPJPY, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, CADJPY, USDJPY, AUDJPY).

Metatrader 5 indicators:

Fischer period 10.

TMA Band (12,100,1.8,4);

Spike Detector (default setting).

Accelerator (default setting),

Half Trend New release (amplitude 20), trend indicator.

Buy

Half Trend blue line.

Buy arrow spike detector.

Sparta Spears (Fisher indicator) green bar.

Accelerator green bar.

Sell

Half Trend red line.

Sell arrow TMA or sell arrow spike detector.

Spartan Spears (Fisher indicator) red bar.

Accelerator red bar.

Note: An aggressive way to enter with the spike detector
it is at the breaking of the relative minimum or maximum.

Buy

The price hits or breaks the lower band.

Buy arrow TMA

Sparta Spears (Fisher indicator) green bar.

Sell

The price touches or breaks the upper band.

Sell arrow TMA

Sparta Spears (Fisher indicator) red bar.

Exit position

Profit Target with stop loss ratio 1:1 or 1::1.2.

Stop loss below/above the previous swing high/low.

In conclusion I can say that the entry with the TMA Band is also suitable for lower time frames while the entry with the Spike Detector is also suitable for high time frames where the trend of the price candles is more regular.

Note: In this version we have left the Fischer indicator for greater reactivity, however it can be replaced by the Precision Trend which does not repaint, but we have added the Accelerator which is very robust as a filter in these conditions especially for filtering the Spike Detector.
