Algo Trend is a price action-based trading strategy designed to capture strong directional moves in the market.

It uses the SuperTrend indicator as the primary signal to identify trend direction and entry points.

Additionally, trendline breakouts that align with the SuperTrend direction serve as optional secondary entries, offering high-probability opportunities to reinforce the trend bias.

Dual Entry Logic

The strategy offers two distinct entry types, which can be used independently or together, depending on the trader’s preference and style:

Primary Entry – Optimized SuperTrend Signal

Buy Conditions:

The SuperTrend turns green – this is the main entry trigger.

The price closes above the green SuperTrend line.

Enter a Buy trade at the close of the confirmation candle.

Sell Conditions:

The SuperTrend turns red – this is the main entry trigger.

The price closes below the red SuperTrend line.

Enter a Sell trade at the close of the confirmation candle.

Note: With price action levels you can filter the SuperTrend signal

Targets and Stop Loss:

Stop Loss:

Place the stop loss just beyond the opposite side of the SuperTrend line:

For long trades, set the stop below the SuperTrend.

For short trades, set the stop above the SuperTrend.

Take Profit Options:

Use a fixed Risk/Reward ratio, typically between 1:1.1 and 1:1.5.

Secondary Entry – Trendline Breakout in Direction of SuperTrend

This entry method is favored for its high profitability and strong trend continuation potential.

Buy Conditions:

A descending trendline is broken to the upside, and

The SuperTrend is green.

Enter a Buy trade in the direction of the breakout.

Sell Conditions:

An ascending trendline is broken to the downside, and

The SuperTrend is red.

Enter a Sell trade in the direction of the breakout.

Note: Enter only at the first breakout of trendline but if there is high volatility you can also enter at the second breakout in the direction of the Supertrend

Exit Rules

Exit conditions are the same for both entry types:

Close the position when the SuperTrend changes direction:

From green to red (exit long).

From red to green (exit short).

Or exit based on your take profit or stop loss levels as defined above.

IKH provides a captivating view on the charts.
    1. 3 conditions provide a confirmation of entry trigger
    2. The Chikou span target is a dynamic pivot point for exit
    3. The MA cross of Tenkan/Kijun Sen provide a bonus confirmation with sharp turns at high probability trade entry points
